Job Summary
Provides individual and group mental health and substance abuse services in Spanish and English. Assist in building more comprehensive behavioral health services across PIHC sites. Coordinates psychiatric services with offsite contract agencies. Provides services primarily in the Positive Impact Health Centers offices in Decatur with one day per week in the Duluth office.
Provide consultation and coordinate mental health services with the HIV medical clinic, prevention services and case management. Conduct mental health screenings and conducts intake interviews. Responsible for Providing culturally competent individual, family, group counseling sessions and substance abuse groups/ individual interventions. Responsible for maintaining up-to-date files on clients including behavioral health assessments and treatment plans. Acts as a liaison between client and community resources as needed. May provide clinical and administrative supervision to graduate student clinical interns
REQUIREMENTS

Ability to plan, implement, evaluate and report activities conducted.
Ability to Interview, conduct assessment, and crisis intervention.
Ability to organization and experience with volunteer based non-profit agencies.
Demonstrated knowledge of issues specific to HIV and substance abuse.
Ability to communicate both in written and verbal communication.
Ability to plan, implement, evaluate and report activities conducted.
Ability to establish rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Sensitivity, skill and/or experience working with persons with HIV/AIDS, mental health and/or substance use issues, ethnic and sexual minorities, homeless, and individuals with disabilities.
Ability to remain calm and supportive in psychological emergencies and/or crises when provided with appropriate supervision and direction.
Ability to communicate via computer e-mail and electronic medical record.
Education and Experience
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Mental Health or a related field and One year experience in social services or mental health agency and/or equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licensure required (LPC, APC, LCSW, LMSW, Licensed Psychologist, LMFT); fully licensed preferred. Staff or program management experience preferred.
Must be Bilingual , Spanish and English.
Prior Experienced Preferred:
Completion of 700 hours of supervised practicum/internship in counseling/psychotherapy
Experience providing couples counseling
Knowledge of current resources and service/benefits programs,
CPR and First Aid certification
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT OR SPECIAL CONSIDERATION: Local travel between Positive Impact Health Centers in Decatur and Duluth, and to other community agencies.
